Typical Duties This description is intended to indicate the types of duties and responsibilities requested of the employee assigned this title.

1.
Maintains inventories, orders supplies in accordance with college purchasing procedures, prepares maintenance work orders, and arranges for outside repairs of equipment and instruments, as necessary.
2.
Monitors safety and security of work area, equipment, supplies, and materials; maintains cleanliness of work area, ensuring conformity with MIOSHA directives.
3.
Coordinate and staffs open lab hours 4.
Issues and checks in instruments, teaching aids, supplies, equipment, and materials.
5.
Performs necessary clerical duties and functions.
6.
Performs related tasks, as assigned.
7.
Ability to work additional hours, as needed.
ARTS, CERAMICS, and PHOTOGRAPHY:
1.
Travels off-campus to obtain supplies and materials; delivers and picks up equipment and instruments to be repaired.
2.
Prepares developing solutions for photo lab, as needed.
3.
Monitors and arranges disposal of chemical and biohazard waste.
4.
Sets up material/equipment and processes documents with computer enhanced technology.
5.
Prepares clay and glazes; operates kilns.
6.
Prepares and sets up for class demonstrations.
7.
Assists with photography or art exhibits, if applicable.
8.
Assists in loading software on computers in the digital photography labs, as needed.
9.
Assists with budgeting process; assists to create replacement plan; procures quotes for purchasing and budgeting processes 10.
Monitors and coordinates receipt of equipment and materials.
Minimum Education and Experience EDUCATION:
An earned Associate's degree or higher in Art.
-OR- An Associate Degree or higher with a minimum of 16 college credit hours in Art.
-AND-
Experience:
Must possess and maintain a current and valid Michigan driver's license.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
