Project Manager

General Summary
Facilitates and coordinates the planning, programming, design and construction of projects. Project planning responsibilities include planning work group facilitation and the development of project related business decision materials required for project authorization. Retains and monitors the performance of A/E firms, consultants, contractors and vendors. Negotiates with external vendors. Resolves conflicts between participants in projects. Manages construction delivery systems integrating project scopes, schedule and budget from planning through owner occupancy. Takes steps to ensure client satisfaction. Work location may vary but will be based primarily in Farmington.
Essential Duties
Works collaboratively with hospital administration to develop project charters ranging from $10-20M
Working with hospital administration, facilitates the project planning process (may include planning work group facilitation) to achieve optimized project plan
Develops project authorization packages of materials that includes business plan/business decision making information as well as information related to project scope/schedule/budget.
Monitors and manages project approval funds to assure completion within budget and schedule.
Conducts reviews of assigned projects to ensure budget, scope, schedule and quality expectations are achievable.
Monitors programming and engineering activities to assure compliance with project scope and budget requirements.
Develops and implements project communication plan.
Performs project planning activities in a manner that minimizes disruption to operating departments and their patients.
Makes necessary adjustments to schedules and tasks to accommodate operational needs.
Coordinates with Hospital staff to ensure disruption is minimized.
Monitors and manages project progress and takes necessary steps to ensure that Hospital standards are met.
Maintains accurate and complete project files in accordance with Beaumont policy and procedures.
Prepares documents to obtain funding for projects. Prepares reports and makes presentations.
Communicates with a variety of vendors, contractors, Beaumont staff, in meetings, through written communication, presentations and conversation.
Maintains and contributes to a safe work environment.
Uses tools and equipment appropriately.
Standard Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Construction, Architecture, Engineering or Business required.
MSA, MBA or Masters in Engineering or Architecture (Preferred)
Registration P.E. or A.I.A. (Preferred)
At least five years of practical experience required.
Construction project related business planning experience required.
Previous direct trades management (Preferred)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills will be required in order to communicate with vendors, guests, hospital staff, management, co-workers and all other persons associated directly or indirectly with Beaumont Health.
The job requires significant autonomous decision making. Work is generally performed in accordance with standard practices.
Work group facilitation skills
High level of influence skills
Demonstrate advanced proficiency in current Microsoft Office Suite applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) with the capability to master company specific software and databases and other business software.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
